Slipknot have announced a 2024 North American tour which will take place this summer. The nu metal band also returns to their hometown music festival, Knotfest Iowa. This year marks the 25th anniversary of Slipknot’s self-titled album, and their festival set is billed as “a unique set drawing heavily on their 1999 debut.” See the full list of Slipknot tour dates below.
“Every time I’ve been on stage, it’s never been a question of how many people are there because my culture, maggots, always shows up,” founding member Shawn “Clown” Crahan said in a statement. “But as we grew as a group, we experienced fewer and fewer intimate, personal moments, trading them in for more massive ones. So we’re going to make it more personal for this anniversary.…Just prepare to get your face kicked, because we’re just doing what we do, spreading this fly culture, this disease. And you got infected.
Dubbed the Here Comes the Pain Tour, Slipknot begins their tour in Noblesville, Indiana, on August 6 and performs in Baltimore, New York, Toronto, Austin and other cities. While the North American leg concludes at Knotfest Iowa in Des Moines on September 21, Slipknot has many more dates planned in Europe through the end of 2024. Some opening shows in North America are Knocked Loose, Orbit Culture and Vended.
