Melissa McCarthy makes it clear that there is no problem between her and Barbra Streisand after Ozempic’s request of the latter – and Barb herself also apologizes for this.
After Babs was criticized for asking if Melissa had lost a few pounds thanks to the weight-loss drug… a photographer met the actress on the street in Los Angeles on Tuesday – where she said she still got love for the superstar.
MMC made it clear it was NBD by saying… “I think Barbra is a treasure and I love her.” She even brushed aside the photographer’s question asking if she thought Barbra had crossed the line.
Obviously…it’s water under the bridge, although – Barbra ended up addressing this issue directly on her own…by issuing a mea culpa to Melissa and explaining how this mistake even happened.
BS wrote: “OMG I went to Instagram to see the photos we posted of the beautiful flowers I received for my birthday! Below them was a photo of my friend Melissa McCarthy who I sang on my album Encore.”
Babs adds: “She was fantastic! I just wanted to pay her a compliment. I forgot people were reading!” In other words… Barbra seems to have lost sight of the fact that she and Melissa are both A-list stars. Oops !
Don’t forget that Melissa and Barbra have a close relationship, with MM appearing on the singer’s 2016 album, “Encore,” just as Barbra mentions here. On the album, Melissa and Barbra sang a duet of “Annie Get Your Gun”, called “Anything You Can Do (I Can Do Better)”.

Since then, Barbra has made a habit of leaving casual comments on Melissa’s Instagram posts – this one just so happened to catch the attention of everyone who follows them, and beyond.
No harm, no foul…Melissa doesn’t trip – and Barbra has already put that behind her.
