Confetti service for invitations coming to iOS 18.3

Apple’s services are an increasingly important segment for the company, generating more and more income each year. It is an excellent alternative for growth for Apple that could help compensate for fluctuations in iPhone sales, especially on certain markets.

Improvement of services should also be a key priority for Apple, as it is a way to keep iPhone buyers loyal to the company. I say that as a long -standing user of the iPhone which continues to use Apple products for the various preloaded software products, and the services are part of it.

Apple would be about to publish a new iCloud product this week, which is an important product of services itself. Called confetti unofficially, the new iCloud functionality must be available in iOS 18.3 or later. Conetti will allow you to manage events and meetings in a way, hopefully, that what the calendar already offers in iCloud.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman mentioned the confetti in his Rise bulletin Sunday.

As the name of the festive code indicates, the service offers a new way of inviting people to parties, functions and meetings. For years, Apple has been looking to reorganize its calendar application – and this new initiative could be the start of a wider effort.

The exit of the confetti is linked to iOS 18.3, which began to take place last week. According to Gurman, Apple could release confetti this week.

We do not know if Conetti will be an autonomous application, but as Gurman says that it will be a new service based on iCloud, I expect it to have its own iPhone application and its integration of calendar. Nor should we forget that Gurman is not the only source indicating that iCloud confetti feature is coming soon.

According to a 9TO5MAC report Last month, Confetti is a new feature that the blog discovered in the IOS 18.3 beta output code. At the time, the unprecedented application was called “Apple invited”.

Confetti would integrate in iCloud and have a web version on iCloud.com. But 9TO5MAC also noted that it was not clear if the functionality would obtain an autonomous application or would be included in other services.

Essentially, the application will show you a list of people invited to this event and who have already confirmed their presence. It is not clear if invitations will actually be an autonomous application or if Apple plans to integrate it into other parts of the system (such as a mini-miling application). Presumably, the application will have a more fun interface than what the Calendar application currently provides to invite someone to an event.

I expect the application to be deeply integrated into other Apple services to make invitations to management to events much easier than the calendar offers. We will have to wait for Apple to explain how everything works.

Once the application is published, we may have to update our iPhones to an IOS 18.3.1 version which brings the new application or download the Confetti application from the App Store. If confetti will be integrated into the calendar, an iOS 18 update should allow functionality.
