OpenAI, Kakao to jointly develop AI products for South Korea

Seoul (Reuters) -Chatgpt Creator Openai and the dominant chat operator of South Korea, Kakao, said on Tuesday that they planned to form a strategic partnership in which they would develop AI products for the market Korean.

Kakao also said that she would use OpenAi technology for her products. The announcement was made by the CEO of Openai, Sam Altman and the CEO of Kakao, Chung Shina, during a press conference in Seoul.

When asked if Openai plans to invest and join the IA computer center project in Korea, Altman said that the American company “actively envisaged” this decision.

He also said that many Korean companies will be important contributors to the American Stargate data center ecosystem, but added that he wanted to keep confidential partnership conversations.
