Google Search Traffic ‘Stable’ Despite Surge of AI Use

The world’s daily visits to Google Search are “stable” despite the overvoltage of the number of chatbots fueled by artificial intelligence (IA) such as Chatgpt, Perplexity and Claude who summarize the responses to users, according to an exclusivity Bank of America Research Global Research report Seen by Pymnts, published Monday (February 10).

Google’s response to AI chatbots competition for users is its AI overview, which generates summaries according to the user’s request. However, Bofa analysts said that it had not helped Google to seek.

“We do not see a boost to Google traffic from the IA previews,” said the report.

“The risks in 2025 include traffic pressure from emerging AI competition, new OPENAI advertisements may have an impact on Google research budgets, and the decisions of the US court and the EU could have An impact on long -term feeling, “said analysts.

Last August, Google lost critical research and an advertising antitrust trial filed by the US government, which alleges that the company monopolizes these two markets. The US Ministry of Justice wants Google to deposit its Chrome web browser, among other corrections.

Google plans to appeal the decision. In the meantime, the technology giant has offered to end the exclusive agreement with Apple and other technological companies that use Google as a default search engine.

Google is also faced with similar antitrust disputes in Europe and a coalition of American states.
