Apple has officially acquired Pixelmator and PhotoMotor, popular image editors for iOS and MacOS. What is the next step?

The PixelMator and the Photorator are now officially part of the Apple ecosystem.

The acquisition was announced for the first time last year, and now the Pixelmator, Pixelmator Pro and PhotoMore applications display a Splash screen that recognizes the agreement.

Pixelmator is one of the most popular image editing programs of the Apple ecosystem, offering an alternative to Adobe products by emphasizing ease of use and performance.

No change has yet been made to the programs, but Apple can integrate them into iOS, iPados and MacOS in the future. Currently, the company offers publishing tools integrated into the photo application, but it also had a separate opening program (it was closed and deleted from the Mac App Store in 2015).

It is also extended that Apple can launch a subscription to professional programs by offering a package that includes the compressor (macOS), final cut pro (iPados and macOS), Logic Pro (iPados and MacOS), Mainstage (macOS), motion (MacOS) and pixelmator products.

Pixelmator programs are currently available in the form of autonomous applications in the App Store:

  • Pixelmator (iOS) – $ 11.99
  • PixelMator Pro (MacOS) – $ 59.99
  • Photomator (iOS, macOS and Visionos) – free and with a monthly subscription of $ 9.99 with advanced features.

Apple introduced PowerBeats Pro 2 – twice as expensive as Iirpods, but with heart rate monitoring
