The next version of Apple from iOS 18 seems to be a big one. The first beta iOS 18.4 beta version has finally dropped, and so far, Apple will add a good amount of system functionalities, including a new section in Apple News + for recipes, a wider deployment of the Apple intelligence and the Pro vision application that coincides with Visionos 2.4 Beta Release.
🥽 The official Apple Vision Pro application. Apple adds a new application to your iPhone with iOS 18.4 called vision pro app. It is intended to serve as a companion for your professional vision, allowing you to browse the organized content recommendations, to download content for offline visualization and access to information on your pro vision without having to wear it. You can also activate the guest sessions of the application if you want to show someone how cool your vision is.
🎹 Ambient music to study, sleep and more. There is a new feature similar to white noise options in accessibility settings called Ambient Music. The functionality allows you to play generic music from Apple Music for four individual moods: cooling, productivity, sleep and well-being. You can play music using Control Center and pass tracks using the dynamic island.
🍽️ Apple News + gets a multitude of recipes. Apple adds a new food section to the News + application which gives you access to tens of thousands of different recipes, to healthy food advice, to cooking advice, and even more of the publisher like Bon Apppétit, Food and wine, allrecipes, good food and serious dishes. New recipes will be added daily, and there will be a special kitchen mode that will guide you through the way to make the flat step by real time.
🤖 Apple Intelligence obtains an upgrade (incremental). Apple Intelligence does not obtain a huge update with iOS 18.4, but Apple says that it will increase availability to more languages, notably French, German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Spaniard , Japanese, Korean, Chinese (simplified) and English located for Singapore and India. In addition, Apple presents a new feature called priority notifications that will make the most important notifications you receive at the top of the list, and there is a new photographic style in Image Playground. Siri has not yet been updated, but Apple says that more new features will arrive in the coming months.
✉️ Renovated messaging application for iPados. The Apple redesigned messaging application finally takes place on the iPad with iPados 18.4. The new version is delivered with new dedicated sections for your mail which automatically sorts the main messages, transactions, updates and promotions. He also uses Apple Intelligence to highlight important messages, and there is a refreshing user interface that looks more elegant and more visually attractive.
🗣️ Change your default translation application. Apple also added the possibility of modifying your default translation application in iOS 18.4. In Europe, you can also modify your default navigation application, which means that those of the EU can only rely on Google Maps if they are not satisfied with Apple cards (like most of us) .

Apple confirmed in a press release that Apple Intelligence will extend to more languages in April, and as it is linked to iOS 18.4, we can expect update – alongside iPados 18.4 – then unroll.
