I want more Android phones to adopt this feature

The wireless load has always been slow and unreliable – up to Qi2. With faster speeds and support for magnetic accessories, it finally seems practical. However, most Android phones still do not support him fully, and it’s time for it to change.

The Qi2 load is faster and more efficient

I am really surprised that the Qi2 load has not experienced a generalized adoption, even on modern flagship phones, although it is such a useful feature.

If you are not familiar with Qi2, it is essentially a slightly modified version of the Apple Magsafe function, allowing a wireless load up to 15 W. On the other hand, the standard Qi chargers are maximum at only 7, 5 W, which has never been practical, especially with today’s smartphones, batteries of more than 5000 mAh.

But Qi2 is not only a faster load. As it is based on Magsafe, it also supports a range of magnetic accessories and ensures a perfect alignment between the load washer and the coil of your phone, which makes the load more efficient.

However, there is a catch. Some phones, such as the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and OnePlus 13are labeled as “Qi2 ready”, but it only means that they support the faster wireless load – not magnetic accessories. To use them, you will need a case compatible with integrated magnets unless your phone is explicitly “certified Qi2”.

Qi2 accessories everyone should try

That said, there are incredible qi2 accessories that I consider more than simple to hatches – these are absolute essential elements. My favorite is Qi2 power banks simply because of their practice.

I no longer even need to transport a cable – I just take the feed bank on the back of my phone, and it starts to load, completely without cable. If you need a recommendation, I would certainly suggest the Anker Maggo.

I highly recommend a magnetic car support because it is much easier to use than to manage clips on traditional supports. A multi-apparent MI2 load support is also an excellent choice, allowing you to load your phone, your headphones and look at the same time.

The Qi2 portfolios are another popular accessory, allowing you to store a few cards and even money while remaining magnetically attached to the back of your phone. However, on the basis of my experience, they can be easily detached during the sliding of your phone in your pocket, so it is something to keep in mind.

If your phone does not support Qi2, don’t worry – you can always use these accessories by adding magnetic stickers to the back of your device.
