I compared the two best Android intelligent watches at the moment – and it was quite Dang Close

I spent a few weeks with the OnePlus Watch 3And it is clear that OnePlus has taken customer comments to heart. The battery life is better, the rotary crown facilitates navigation and design is intended for fans of larger watches. If the size was not a factor, it could be my new Smartwatch OS Go-To Wear.

That said, some software updates are still necessary to solve certain problems. In fact, the launch was delayed by a few months due to a spelling error on the rear panel.

Also: I tested dozens of smart watches, but the Oura Ring 4 was the first to show me that I am sick

Meanwhile, it has been about six months since Google published the Pixel Watch 3A minimalist smartwatch that continues to improve with regular updates. Regarding the software, nothing that I tested does not beat the Pixel 3 watch – and with two size options, it is an excellent adjustment for everyone. These two third -generation Android smart watches are excellent, so decompos why you could choose one compared to the other.

You should buy the OnePlus 3 watch if …

1. You want the longest battery life in a smartwatch

OnePlus claims that the watch 3 lasts up to five days (or 120 hours) on a single load, and according to my experience, this is true – I needed to bill it only once a week. In addition to that, it supports the fast load, so only 10 trendy minutes gives you a full day of the battery life.

The battery life can extend even more with the energy saving mode, but in my tests, I left it in intelligent mode during execution and rowing them about three times a week. OnePlus provides detailed estimates of the battery life according to factors such as wireless state, messages frequency and exercise tracking, so be sure to check the product page for details. However, it is refreshing to exceed the battery cycle typical of one to two days – thanks to a large capacity battery, a silicon -carbon technology and a double bone architecture.

2. You want a sustainable smartwatch

The Pixel Watch 3 is an elegant and minimalist smartwatch, but its design is dominated by the curved glass which leaves the display exposed. On the other hand, the Watch 3 OnePlus is built as a tank, with a sapphire crystal side with an 8+ rating on the MOHS hardness scale, a stainless steel case with a titanium telescope, a resistance to dust and IP68 water, a 50 m pressure rating and a millet-810h certification.

The robust silicone strip included adds to its durability, with substantial thickness and a stainless steel clasp which keeps it in place. In addition, the large rotating digital crown facilitates navigation, even when you wear gloves.

3. The basic data of health and well-being is all you need

GPS accuracy is excellent and the heart rate sensor is reliably reliably under most conditions. The OnePlus Watch 3 supports a wide range of sports, even offering advanced measures for certain activities. However, you cannot customize data screens during training sessions, so you are limited to the information you choose to display.

The OHEALTH Smartphone application provides information after training, including execution dynamics, but its home screen is not customizable. Some tiles seem empty and you cannot organize data for quick and glable access. That said, if you are looking for a specific monitoring and a solid set of basic features, the Watch 3 OnePlus could be an excellent adjustment.

1. You want the best software experience

While the Watch 3 OnePlus performs the latest version of Wear OS, some applications are simply more functional on the Pixel 3 watch. Bring Google home, for example – on the Pixel 3 watch, you can connect to your cameras and display live video flows. On the OnePlus 3 watch, the same application is redirecting you simply to open Google Home on your phone.

The Watch 3 Pixel also offers deep Fitbit integration and is optimized for runners, with dynamic coaching features that help you reach your objectives using only the watch. It follows the advanced measures in terms of health and well-being, and the global software experience feels more polite. In addition, as a Google product, the Pixel Watch 3 is guaranteed to receive more frequent software updates.

2. You want LTE and connected safety characteristics

One of the remarkable features of the Pixel 3 watch – even exceeding the Apple Watch in this area – is the focus on safety. The safety verification function allows you to define a registration timer when passing from point A to B, ensuring that your emergency contacts are informed in the event of a problem. Better yet, you don’t need a cell plan to use these connected safety characteristics. The watch also includes SOS alerts and emergency detection for falls and car accidents, similar to Apple’s offers.

The Pixel Watch 3 also incorporates LTE support so you can pay minimum costs to your operator and leave your smartphone behind you while you train and stay connected. There are rumors that a future OnePlus watch can include LTE support.

3. You need emergency services and no one is there

During the launch event of Google last fall, the company presented its loss of pulse detection function, and I spent time speaking with doctors of the way it works. This technology seems particularly personal – five years ago, my father suffered a cardiac arrest when he was sitting in his tilting chair. His wife did not find him for at least 15 minutes, and at that time it was too late.

Pulse detection lossThe function could have made a difference. If a user does not answer, the watch can automatically invite a call to emergency services. Unfortunately, the data show that more than half of the cardiac arrests outside the hospital are reactive. This is why I am delighted to see this functionality pass the approval of the FDA and to officially start on Pixel Watch 3 – it has the potential to save lives.

Google uses advanced algorithms to be able to detect whether a watch has been deleted on purpose or if the person wearing it is in a state of trauma. I can’t wait to hear stories of life saved by Google with this functionality.
