Keysight technologies And Northeast University will present a demonstration of the AI-RAN orchestration to the 2025 mobile World Congress (MWC25).
The demonstration will take place on the Keysight stand and will present the management of Networks focused on AI for radio access networks (RAN). Collaboration is part of the A-RAN alliance, which focuses on the integration of artificial intelligence in RAN 5G and 6G systems.
The demonstration will highlight how AI can manage Ran workloads, optimize data processing in real time and improve network efficiency. He will use the AI-AND-RAN reference frame of the Northeastern University operating on a shared O-Cloud calculation cluster, combined with test solutions of the Open Ran (Kora) of Keysight.
The AI-RAN initiative is designed to simultaneously meet the challenges of AI management and the management of workloads, ensuring low latency data processing and network security maintenance. The collaboration between Keysight and Northeastern University aims to validate the AI-RAN coexistence and to provide an evolutionary infrastructure for EDGE data centers supporting Ran and Generative IA (GENAI) applications.
Tommaso Melodia, director of the Institute for the Wireless Internet of Northeastern University, said:
“The orchestration to share the calculation infrastructure in the EDGE data centers between the RAN and GENAI services while guaranteeing the reliability of the network represents a crucial step towards the new intelligent and virtualized new generation systems where communication, detection and AI will coexist at the edge. Our collaboration with Keysight Technologies allows us to validate the integration of AI-E-ANT-RAI in real world scenarios, guaranteeing evolutionary and high performance network solutions that reject AI and wireless communications on a shared calculation infrastructure. »»
Peng Cao, vice-president and managing director of the Keysight wireless test group, added:
“Our close collaboration with the Northeastern University highlights the potential of the AI-RAN orchestration to transform traditional Ran systems into intelligent, adaptive, effective and reliable networks. This progression will stimulate the development of the RAN and accelerate progress from the telecommunications industry to 6G. »»
