Sacramento juveniles arrested after ‘causing a ruckus’ at DOCO; man arrested for breaking patrol car window
In another incident, a man broke the window of a patrol car and threw a pole at an officer.
LATEST NEWS FROM SACRAMENTO WITH A CHAOTIC SCENE IN PART OF THE DOCO AREA. POLICE ARRESTED SEVERAL PEOPLE AFTER THE FIGHTS BROKE OUT. We understand that some of the participants in the fighting were minors. THIS IS A VIDEO FROM A FEW MOMENTS AGO. YOU CAN SEE PEOPLE BEING DETAINED THERE BY OFFICERS. ONE PERSON ON THE GROUND, THEN ANOTHER PERSON COMES FROM BEHIND RIGHT THERE AND THEY TRY TO HARRIER THE OFFICERS DOING THEIR JOB, THEN SHE STANDS AWAY. We saw the windows of a patrol vehicle broken. WE UNDERSTAND THIS. This comes from a separate incident, but there’s a lot going on there. SO IT’S NOT REALLY CLEAR WHAT LEADED TO ALL THIS. Let’s go see Caroline Estrada from KCRA Three. WERE YOU ABLE TO GET ANSWERS? YEAH. SO WE HAVE A LITTLE MORE INFORMATION ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED. AND WE KNOW THERE ARE TWO SEPARATE INCIDENTS, BUT I WANT TO GIVE YOU A OVERVIEW OF THE SCENE NOW BECAUSE SINCE WE HAVE BEEN LIVE WITH YOU GUYS, THE SACRAMENTO FIRE CREWS HAVE ARRIVED AND THEY ARE NOW CONTROLLING THE ‘ONE OF THE PEOPLE. WHO WAS DETAINED HERE EARLIER TODAY. So what we’ve learned so far from the Sacramento Police is that at about 8:30 a.m. calls came in of a couple of juveniles causing a disturbance here in this area and reports of Fire was also reported when officers arrived, they found no firearms. HOWEVER, OFFICIALS SAY ONE OF THESE TEENS THROWED A METAL PIPE AT AN OFFICER. The officer was not injured, and that’s when three juveniles were arrested over curfew. THEN WHEN ALL THIS HAPPENED AND AN UNRELATED MAN BROKE THE WINDOW OF A STATE PATROL CAR THEN THROWED A POLE AT AN OFFICER AGAIN, THE OFFICER WAS NOT INJURED. HE WAS ALSO ARRESTED. And so at least a dozen officers are here on scene, still investigating what exactly happened. OFFICIALS NOW SAY, MOST OF THESE JUVENILES HAVE LEFT THE SCENE, AND THESE THREE JUVENILES WHO WERE CITED WILL BE CITED AND RELEASED FOR CURFEW. And we just want to give you a glimpse of the other side of the scene. There’s this patrol car that has this broken window. So the officers say they’re going to be here at K-7 for a while. SO ANYONE GOING TO THIS AREA SHOULD TAKE THIS INTO CONSIDERATION. LIVE I
