  • The Pixel weather application pushes a minor adjustment to its 10 -day forecasts.
  • Instead of simply labeling on the days of the week, the application adds a month and a date.

Some of us are absolute whistles with regard to days and dates – ask a person like this if they want to spend a week from Friday, and they instantly know that you are talking about the twenty and first. But there are then those of us who are not even sure of the day of the week until we suddenly notice that it is the weekend. If you are more in this last camp, Google seems to work on a small adjustment of the Pixel weather application which could be exactly what you need.

When it comes to making plans, there are two main views to which we turn in the weather application: time forecasts at the top, and perhaps even more important, the 10-day forecasts immediately below. Tap on the latter offers more details, allowing you to see the hourly forecasts for each of these individual days, as well as precipitation and projections of wind.

So far, it has been very good. But by verifying the new version 1.0.20250127.729684887.Ilion of the construction of the weather application, we have identified a tiny but potentially very useful adjustment in the way these 10 -day forecasts are displayed: instead of simply showing all these entries by the days of the week, the application will start to display the real date.

For the cost of a little screen real estate, Google removes all the conjectures from days and dates of alignment, and maybe even save you a quick look, not completely embarked on the calendar. We have not seen any communication from Google which makes us think that it specifically tries to fight against changes in quality of life like this, but it really seems that there are elements of a trend in progress: look at how we saw the developers work on Google Calendar to extend expressions to a single letter of the days of the week to collect abbreviations that are easier to recognize.

We cannot promise that the Pixel weather will improve you better to keep track of what day it is. But at least you hope you will be dressed appropriately for the weather.
