Tl; DR
- We managed to activate a preference screen overhaul in the latest beta version of Google messages.
- The redesign brings a cleaner look to Google messages and align it well with the recently disclosed overhaul of the Settings application in Android 16.
Google Messages is the main application of texts on most Android flagship products these days, so we appreciate the regular updates and the additions of features that Google has in mind for the application. Google has refreshed different parts of the messages of messages, aligning it with a more modern aesthetic. Soon Google could update the preference menu in Google Messages and put it online with what you see elsewhere in Android 16.

The most recent user interface seems fresh and much cleaner, because the division lines in the current user interface resemble an ICS of Android ICS, so I’m glad that Google re -evaluates.
This new user interface has not yet been finalized and can be considered as a current work that Google can or may not be launched. We will keep you posted when we learn more about it.
