With another summer filled with great sneaker releases, fans of the Lakers and the late great Kobe Bryant were eager to get their hands on the new Nike Kobe 4 “Girl Dad” shoe. It came just in time for Father’s Day. The sneaker was available at select locations and of course on Nike’s SNKRS app for $190.
It’s great that Nike and the Kobe Bryant estate have been releasing classic silhouettes and colorways since their deal in August 2023. Since then, every Kobe release has been a sellout and this recent release is no exception. no different. Luckily, I was able to get my hands on a pair of these shoes by purchasing them in Hyde Park in Tampa at Social Status.
These sneakers were a must-have for me because I’m a father of daughters myself and I think Kobe’s approach as the father of all daughters is motivating for me and all fathers of princesses. Not to mention, this is my first time owning a pair of Kobe 4. I couldn’t wait to wear these sneakers for Father’s Day, but before I let the shoes hit the concrete, I had to show off the unboxing.
Right now these Kobe 4s are sold out, but you can find them on other resale apps and online consignment stores or even here in Tampa. If you’re a girl dad like me, it’s worth buying.
