Userware has updated its Open Source Open -Source Pour .NET user interface frame, widening the scope of the Windows presentation foundation (WPF) to mobile applications.
OpenSilver is best known as a replacement of Microsoft Silverlight, a rich internet application frame which, like Adobe Flash, required a browser plugin. The OpenSilver applications run in plugin -free navigators.
OpenSilver 3.2introduced on March 18 and downloadable from the Project websitewidens the scope of the frame beyond browsers to mobile platforms by integrating .NET MAUI HYBRID. This approach combines the consistency of the web -based user interface rendering with .NET Runtime power, said Userware, and allows developers to deploy WPF compatible applications to iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux and the web from a single code base. OpenSilver 3.2 uses .Net Maui Hybrid to provide a WPF compatible user interface via webview while compiling C # Business Logic with the native code. A single XAML / C # code base is maintained on all platforms.
