Your Android device has a new system application called SAFETYCORE, which raises serious confidentiality problems. Designed to protect yourself from certain types of content, SafetyCore has significant access to your device, which is precisely why you may want to delete it.
What is the Android System Safetycore application?
SAFETYCORE is a system application developed by Google for Android and Superior Android devices, which started to deploy in November 2024. As it is a system application that works in the background, you will not find it in the application drawer. You will need to go to Settings> Applications> System applications To check if it is installed on your device.
The main SafetyCore function is to warn you of potentially sensitive images in Google messages. If you receive an image that can contain nudity, SAFETYCORE automatically blurred it to prevent you from making an accidental exposure.
Before consulting, you will see a warning message with options to proceed or ignore it. Likewise, if you try to send or transmit a bare image, SafetyCore reminds you of the risks to prevent accidental or dangerous sharing.
Google guarantees that SAFETYCORE treats quite locally on your device, which means that no data is downloaded from external servers. In addition, the application only scans the images sent or received via Google messages, so you don’t have to worry about scanning each photo or video of your device.
However, the fact that Safetycore scans images – even if it is limited to messaging – follows concerns. Feeling uncomfortable about an application at the system analyzing the images is natural, in particular the one that has settled in the background, did not require any authorization and has almost complete access to your device.
How to prevent the Android Safetycore system from scan your photos
Although Google positions SAFETYCORE as a protective characteristic, these confidentiality priorities may feel uncomfortable, no matter how limited or intentioned (however, as above, having something installation without warning is not pleasant). The good news is that SafetyCore is optional, which means that you can uninstall it or deactivate it like any other application on your phone. This will not in any way affect the features of your phone.
To delete the Android System Safetycore application from your device, use these steps:
-
Open it Parameters Menu on your Android phone.
-
Scroll down to type Applications.
-
Press the Filter and sorting icon and activate the Show system applications to fall over. On some devices, you will have to press the Three -point menu and select Show system applications.
-
Scroll or use the search tool to find Android system SAFETYCORE On the list and press it.
-
Faucet Uninstall down and hit ALL RIGHT To confirm.
And that’s about everything! Once you have deleted the SAFETYCORE application, you will not have to worry about what it scans your messages or your private files.
Keep in mind that Android Safetycore can reinstall itself automatically or automatically reactivate, especially after an update of the system. To make sure that it remains outside your device, you will need to regularly check the list of applications installed on your phone and deactivate it or delete it again if necessary.
