NYC Pride March 2024 starts today. The map shows the route and where it will end.


NEW YORK — New York City’s annual event Pride March invaded the streets of Manhattan on Sunday.

The march dates back to 1970, a year after the Stonewall Uprisingand continues to honor its roots as a civil rights protest.

When does NYC Pride 2024 start and end?

The pride march will begin on Sunday June 30 at noon. This year marks 55 years since the Stonewall Uprising and 40 years since Heritage of Pride became the official organizer of the march.

Also on Sunday, Heritage of Pride is hosting a PrideFest LGBTQIA+ street fair at 11 a.m. in Greenwich Village, followed by a Bliss Days celebration at 2 p.m. at DL Rootop & Lounge.

How long is NYC Pride 2024?

There is no official end time, but previous years ranged from over 12 hours in 2019 to over seven hours in 2022.

Organizers say: “This year we anticipate that marchers will take 60 to 90 minutes (an hour to an hour and a half) to complete the route from formation to dispersal. »

The 2024 Pride March begins at 25th Street and Fifth Avenue near Madison Square Park in Manhattan.

It then descends Fifth Avenue, turns west on 8th Street, and continues on Christopher Street, where it passes the Stonewall National Monument.

It then heads north on 7th Avenue, passing the New York City AIDS Memorial, before ending at 16th Street.
