Team of the 5th day revealed:

• This team will have a quadruple opponent against Spain and a quadruple opponent against Portugal, which is a very risky bet given that both games will be very tight and difficult to predict – Spain vs Germany and Portugal vs France. Despite using two FTs in midfield, going without Musiala and Bellingham can backfire heavily on them as they are very possessed players.
• But with the overall standings currently sitting below 2000, it’s now or never. I’ve decided to take the risk and hope that Spain and Portugal win or at least one of them wins.

MD5 Transfer Plans and Key Notes:

• The first transfer is in the defense with a Dutch defender replacing the suspended Guehi. I have not yet finalized the transfer with all the Dutch defenders who have a good chance of keeping a clean sheet. Van Dijk(Goal Threat, Player of the Match), The Truth(Budget, Ball Recoveries), Dumfries(Threat of attack, potential for increase) and Ake(2 assists in 4 games). The alternative option outside the Dutch defence that I like is Stones assuming England qualify.
• Declan Rice He may be a boring pick in FPL, but he is a good differential pick in our team at only 4% TSB. Rice has made 29 ball recoveries from 4 games with an average above 7 ball recoveries per matchWhile it’s hard to predict who will score for England (Saka/Kane/Foden/Bellingham), Rice is someone who is almost guaranteed to get a minimum of 4 points and can also get a standout performance/Player of the Match if you’re lucky.

Unsurprisingly, Rice is also the best ball-winner among the Euro 2024 midfielders.

Day 1 : The captain on the first day will probably be Mbappe as he has the pace and finishing to hurt the Portuguese defence.

Day 2: Day 2 will be a tight game to play if Mbappe fails on Day 1. It will be between Declan Rice (captain differential) and Van Dijk/Gakpo (safe option) depending on how my team performs on Day 1 of MD5.
