The recruit of MotoGP Rackhouse Racing, Ai Ogura, was disqualified from the result of the Argentina Grand Prix because of its bike which manages an “non -approved software”.
The Japanese rider had a mixed weekend in Termas de Rio Hondo, after a qualification accident left him 15th on the grid and an error in the sprint meant that he could not move forward on this subject.
But Ogura turned things into the Grand Prix, going from the 15th to finally finish the eighth and the best Aprilia again on her RS-GP managed by a track.
However, Ogura was stripped of this result because her bicycle was found that he directed not approved ECU software after the race.
We do not know how it happened, with MotoGP operating on electronics specifications for the whole grid since 2016.
It was not the first time in 2025 that a rider has fallen fault with an unusual technical offense.
At the Thai Grand Prix, Alex Rins de Yamaha had all his time on Friday’s turn removed, because it was found that he used a “X2 race liaison unit which had not been approved by the official stopwatch. This then allowed the possibility of accessing GPS, which is prohibited in MotoGP. »»
It is believed that the unit of incriminated Yamaha came from the tests.
Trackhouse has the right to use the penalty imposed on Ogura, but must do so within 60 minutes of the official notification of the published sentence.
The team has not yet made a public comment.
The disqualification of Ogura will push each rider behind him in a position, with Pedro Acosta of KTM inherited from eighth.
Joan Mir de Honda goes to the ninth, while Luca Marini enters the top 10. With Johann Zarco Sixth, HRC officially has three RC213V in the top 10 results.
Ogura’s disqualification helps its teammate Raul Fernandez, who is now moving into the final points by paying the place in 15th after a difficult afternoon in Term from Rio Hondo.
Fernandez, who fought throughout the weekend for Pace, was involved in a collision with Enea Bastianini from Tech3 and received a long penal. He took the checkered flag in 16th.
