Android 16 beta 2.1 is there to correct a set of boring bugs

Google published the second Android 16 Beta to the testers of the Android Beta program two weeks ago, and follows this update with a minor correction which corrects some of the most boring bugs. Android 16 Beta 2.1 begins to deploy now to register Android 16 Beta 2 devices – which is supported by the Google Pixel 6 series and more recent – and is described as a “minor update”, according to the update Liberation notes.

Each version of pre-liberation software is likely to have some unexpected bugs or behaviors inside, but the bugs crushed in Android 16 Beta 2.1 had the potential to be particularly frustrating. A problem has restarted pixel devices on Android 16 Beta 2, and another would not allow pixel peripherals entering Doze mode. There are also fixes for agitated animations and “various other problems”, according to Google.
