Android 16 Beta 3.1 Bug causing a thicker locking clock arrangement

Software overviews are not always perfect, but a bug in Android 16 Beta 3.1 could actually be something that we would like to see as a personalized option for locking clock settings.

The bug in question often occurs with the default locking screen clock, which should generally display a slim double line text indicating the current time. For some, the text of the clock of the lock screen is much thicker and apparently daring. Part of our team has known this problem since Beta 3, but it appears more regularly after the Beta 3.1 update.

One of our regular readers Matt cataloged his experience with the more detail on the / r / Android_beta subdreddit. You will get the locking bug on Android 16 Beta 3.1 more often with the default clock arrangement. It is not clear if it affects more provisions or themes; The only solution we have found so far is to cycle on your phone. It can also happen at random and is not easy to reproduce. You can see the locking screen bug on the left and what it should look like right below:

As you can see, it seems quite striking and has no effect on any other part of the Beta experience of Android 16. It’s just a little oddity of the software overview. In fact, we would like to see it as an option as a locking horror in a future Android version – especially since the changes in this version so far have been rare.
