Angel Reese Comes to Teresa Weatherspoon’s Rescue with a Harsh Message: This is Something I Will Not Tolerate at All


Angel Reese remains steadfast in its support for Chicago Sky the head coach Teresa Weatherspoonregardless of the criticism leveled at the coach. After the Sky suffered their sixth defeat in 10 games on Sunday, some fans began calling for Weatherspoon to leave.

Reese issued a strong warning on social media to those who criticize Wind spoondeclaring his intolerance to any negative remarks about the coach, who is only in his first season at the helm of the team.

“One thing I don’t play with is T-Spoon, so let’s not even try. That’s something I don’t condone at all,” Reese wrote.

Weatherspoon’s career

Before taking on the role of head coach with the Chicago SkyWeatherspoon served as an assistant coach for the NBA’s New Orleans Pelicans.

His coaching career began with the The Ghosts of Westchester in the ABA in 2007. The five-time WNBA All-Star went on to coach at Louisiana Tech from 2008 to 2014 before taking a break from coaching. Weatherspoon returned to the profession in 2020 with the Pelicansfinally joining Sky last October.

Reese Shines Under Weatherspoon

Meanwhile, Reese excelled under Wind spoon‘s guidance. Reese has had a lot of playing time and has been breaking records. She recently set a new record WNBA record for the longest double-double streak, surpassing Candace Parker with 13 consecutive games. This season, Reese is averaging 14.1 points, 11.9 rebounds and 1.5 steals over 20 games.
