The leak comes from reliable tipster Roland when (via Winfuture.de), which claims that the Zenfone 12 Ultra will be a “slightly stripped version” (translated) of the Asus Rog Phone 9 Pro – just like the way in which the Zenfone 11 Ultra was based on the ROG Phone 8 Pro.
This means that you can expect a 6.78 -inch screen with a resolution of 2400 × 1080 and a 120 Hz refresh rate (which can go up to 144 Hz for supported games). Under the hood, the telephone will be powered by the chipset Elite Qualcomm Snapdragon 8, associated with 16 GB of RAM LPDDR5X and 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage.
At the rear, you will find a 50mp Sony Lytia 700 familiar sensor with “Gimbal” optical image stabilization (Ois). This will be completed by an ultra-large 13MP lens with a field of vision of 120 degrees, a 32MP telephoto lens with a 3X optical zoom and a 32MP selfie shooter at the front.
The Asus Zenfone 12 Ultra will be one of the rare flagship products with a helmet socket
The Zenfone 12 Ultra will perform Android 15 of the box, with a range of new AI features focused on photo and video improvements. It will be supported by a 5,500 mAh battery, slightly smaller than the 5,800 mAh cell in the ROG Phone 9 Pro, but it should keep the same 65 W fast cable load and adds the care of the wireless load of 15 W.
Interestingly, the Zenfone 12 Ultra will also include a 3.5 mm headphone jack – a rare characteristic of today’s flagship smartphones. Images disclosed in terms of design suggest that it will look like the ROG Phone 9 Pro, but with a smaller camera module and no LED mini-matrix.
Although the details of prices and availability have not yet disclosed, the wait will not be long since Asus officially launches the Zenfone 12 Ultra in just a few days.
