Apple releases iOS 18.3 with crucial fixes

Apple has published iOS 18.3, a crucial update which addresses 29 vulnerabilities, including a critical flaw that could allow malicious applications to obtain high privileges. The company recognized that this question could have been actively exploited in the versions of iOS before iOS 17.2.

The update solves several critical problems, such as the vulnerabilities of the nucleus which could allow malicious applications to obtain root privileges and to execute code with the privileges of the nucleus. It also addresses webkit defects, the engine feeding the Safari browser, which could lead to command injection.

In addition, iOS 18.3 solves problems in AirPlay and Passkeys which could allow unauthorized access to Bluetooth or cause an unexpected application termination and code execution.
