Some ASU fans may be questioning ASU football legend Jake Plummer’s relationship with Deion after he was seen supporting the Colorado Buffaloes at a game in Boulder last month. Deion Sanders’ team takes on the Sun Devils on Saturday in Tempe.
However, Plummer said there was no question who Plummer was supporting.
“I support one team,” Plummer recently told his family in Arizona. “I don’t even support the NFL teams that I played for or any other team, but Arizona State is a team that I will root for and hope they do well.
“I obviously paid taxes, so I was paying the University of Colorado (Colorado), and I probably paid some of Deion (Sanders)’s salary, but when I got back there, I made a splash wearing a Colorado shirt.
“I went to the game, I’m from Colorado. … I’ve worn this jersey for ten years and I didn’t buy it because of the Deion craze. I’m a Sun Devil through and through.”

Plummer’s Colorado shirt did “cause a stir” among some ASU fans and members of the media.
Plummer, one of the best quarterbacks in Arizona football history, wore a Colorado jersey last month during Buffalo’s game against the Colorado State Rams, and social media savaged him.
