Ben Stiller Responds to 76ers’ Kelly Oubre’s Hit on ‘Celebrity’ Knicks Fans

Philadelphia 76ers power forward Kelly Oubre Jr. met with the press Friday afternoon ahead of Saturday’s Game 1 between the Sixers and the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.

Oubre expressed excitement about playing in “The Mecca,” but couldn’t help but pick on the celebrities who often sit courtside for Knicks games.

“The fans are pretty crazy, you know?” Oubre began. “They have a pretty good culture of being wild and loving basketball to the core and the core. They call it ‘The Mecca’ of basketball for a reason. The lights are super bright. They’re going to give these $100,000 free tickets to celebrities just to be there and not worry about the game, but that’s what they do, I’m looking forward to it man, it’s one of. my favorite places to play.

Actor Ben Stiller, a die-hard Knicks fan who will definitely be on the court Saturday night, made sure to respond to Oubre’s comments, saying a lot of shit in the process.

“Oh, I think I care a lot more than you think you thought I cared… Kelly Who-bre?” Stiller posted to X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday.

Arguably the beef between Oubre and Stiller is one of the most unexpected matchups in recent memory, ahead of what should be an exciting first-round series in the Eastern Conference.
