Broncos defense vs. Chiefs offense could get ugly

Trending

The Denver Broncos rank 32nd in the NFL in points allowed, 32nd in yards allowed, and are giving up a whopping 7 yards per game.

Now the Broncos will face Patrick Mahomes on the road in just one week.

The Kansas City Chiefs offense has to be excited for Thursday night’s game. They face the worst defense in the NFL this year, maybe the worst in years. The Chiefs are a 10.5-point favorite at BetMGM.

The Broncos got off to a rough start under Sean Payton. Fans began to dismiss them. Beating the Chiefs will boost their morale, but it could be the biggest shock of the NFL season so far. The Broncos have lost 15 straight games to Kansas City. The Broncos’ last victory over the Chiefs came in Week 2 of the 2015 NFL season with Peyton Manning at quarterback. Weird results happen all the time in the NFL, but the Broncos breaking that record with this defense will be the weirdest on the short break. Many survival pools will be interested in what happens on Thursday night.

This game will test those who like to beat the NFL’s underdogs. Many winning bets in the NFL come from picking the ugliest team on the board. The Chiefs have long been a poor odds bet, with oddsmakers extending the odds because they are a high-profile team favored by casual bettors since Mahomes became the quarterback. The official pick is the Broncos +10.5, but the Chiefs are also likely to score 50 points and everyone can find something else to do Thursday night.

Here’s the rest of Thursday’s sportsbook:

MLB playoffs continue

The Atlanta Braves won 104 games in the regular season, but the playoffs could end early. The Braves are on the verge of elimination after the Philadelphia Phillies pulled away with a stellar third-inning performance in Game 3 of the NLDS. If the Warriors want to continue their season, they must win two straight games against Philadelphia to advance. The Braves are once again -150 favorites on Thursday night. The winner will face the Arizona Diamondbacks, who swept the Los Angeles Dodgers and ruined many bets for the Dodgers’ future.

College football has 2 games

As NFL games can get out of control, keep in mind that West Virginia plays in Houston and SMU plays at East Carolina. West Virginia is a three-point favorite on the road. SMU is an 11.5-point road favorite.

More early season hockey

The NHL has seven games on Thursday. The best game might be the Minnesota Wild vs. Florida Panthers game. Both teams will play their first regular season game Thursday night. The Wild are -125 favorites.

What’s the best option?

Since I don’t have a great feeling about the Broncos-Chiefs, let’s take a look at the best games of the day. As we saw with the Dodgers, sometimes teams just can’t get out of trouble. If you bet on them, you will lose a lot of money. The Phillies are confident, hot, and have huge home field advantage. I understand why the Warriors are -150 favorites, but I don’t think they should be at this point in the series. I’d go with the Phillies at +125.
