According to reports, comedian and actress Carol Burnett’s longtime residence in Los Angeles has recently been sold for $3.7 million. The three-bedroom condo unit in the Wilshire condominium in Westwood was initially listed for $4.2 million in October 2022 and has since been asked for $3.95 million before finally being sold at a lower price.
THE BUYERS AND SELLERS
The new condo owners have not been identified yet. Still, they are moving from their adjacent home into a smaller space, according to Graham Larson of Sotheby’s International Realty Pacific Palisades Brokerage. On the other hand, Carol Burnett did not respond to requests for comment regarding the sale of her former residence.

Carol Burnett Residence
The property is a pied-à-terre located in the Wilshire condominium in Westwood, which Ms. Burnett purchased on the 25th level in the 1990s. The unit was later renovated by her and her husband, Brian Miller, and they added a private lift and two balconies. One of the bedrooms in the 2,800-square-foot unit serves as an office, according to Mr. Larson.

Ms. Burnett, born and brought up in Los Angeles, is best known for hosting the variety show “The Carol Burnett Show,” which aired from 1967 until 1978. She turned 90 on April 26 and is still active in her career. Ms. Burnett is scheduled to appear in the upcoming “Palm Royale” series, produced by Apple Studios.
Real Estate Market In Los Angeles
According to Sotheby’s International Realty, the real estate market in Los Angeles saw a significant drop in condo sales during the first quarter of 2023 compared to the same period in 2022. However, the median price of condos remained roughly the same.
Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and the drop in condo sales, the sale of Carol Burnett’s former residence is a reminder that the Los Angeles real estate market remains strong. Ms. Burnett’s former pied-à-terre is a testament to the exquisite properties in the city’s Westwood neighborhood.
