Chargers advance to Iowa State track and field meet | Raccoon Valley Radio

The AC/GC Chargers track and field teams were at their state qualifying meet last night.

For Class 1A, the winner of each event at all qualifying competitions then advances to the state level competition, alongside the top 14 individuals in the event across the state. The women’s team took first place in the distance medley and Ava Campbell won gold in the 800 meter and 15,000 meter races. The men’s team will send out the 4X200 relay team, with Brexton Schneider in the 110 high hurdles, Andrew Mahaffey in the 1,600 meter and 3,200 meter races, Mike Fuller in the discus and Lance Bunde in the high jump.
