Part of the road was closed for hours Saturday morning as police investigated a shooting.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A portion of Milton Road in east Charlotte was closed Saturday morning as the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department investigates a shooting.
One person was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to Medic.
WCNC Charlotte crew on scene noticed several police cars in the area near the Oak Woods neighborhood. Crime scene tape surrounded an area where clothes were strewn across the road.
A neighbor reported hearing several gunshots around 6 a.m.
The part of the road near The Plaza reopened around 9am.
