Downtown Great Falls continues to experience a vibrant revival, including events designed to attract residents and tourists.
Notable events include the Mimosa Showdown, a popular attraction where bars and restaurants compete to make the best mimosa. This sparkling event not only delights attendees with creative and delicious drinks, but also stimulates business at local restaurants and bars.
Kellie Pierce of downtown Great Falls says events like these help create a sense of community between the consumer and the business. “We’ve come a long way in the last five or 10 years, so we have great business owners and they all work together. We all just help uplift each other and create a sense of community.

In addition to the Mimosa Showdown, military recognition days will be held downtown throughout the weekend. In honor of Armed Forces Week, several downtown businesses will be offering sales, promotions and military ID deals (see below).
“We are fortunate to be in the military community and to have Malmstrom in our community,” Kellie added. “We want to welcome people who are stationed here or who have chosen to retire here and really want them to feel welcome and know that they have their own place downtown.”
