Liverpool fans fear Trent Alexander-Arnold has launched a charm offensive against Real Madrid after hearing him name his ideal guests.
The La Liga giants are said to be keeping tabs on the dynamic full-back, 25, who has less than 15 months remaining on his contract at Anfield.
There have been no discussions about extending his stay but he was made vice-captain in the summer and, understandably, the Reds have indicated no intention of selling him.
But some fans are worried – somewhat of an overreaction – after he revealed his three dream guests to Gary Neville.
Alexander-Arnold revealed he would love to have a meal with Steven Gerrard, Zinedine Zidane and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Some fans interpreted it as proof of his attachment to Madrid, since he named two of their legends.

You could say this simply shows a passion for football, but many Reds fans believe he was hinting at a fondness for Los Blancos, who count Zidane and Ronaldo among their legends.
“Unfortunately I take this as confirmation that he is going to Madrid,” one person wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
“I think it’s fair to say that Trent would want to move to Madrid at some point,” said another.
‘Stop that. Stop that. Don’t mention M*drid, one of them begged in desperation.
“The flirtation with Madrid begins,” warned another.
“He’s going to Madrid, boys, it’s over,” announced the apparent source of all knowledge.
“Yes, he is out of Madrid,” added another.
Explaining his response, Alexander-Arnold said: “I would love to pick his (Ronaldo’s) brain. As you can see, I like talking about it, I love football. I can not stop ! »
Considering his answers as authentic proof of his desire to join Madrid seems far-fetched.
After all, Gerrard and Ronaldo are based in Saudi Arabia, but no one is seriously suggesting that his answers indicate he wants to go there.
Alexander-Arnold’s contract expires next summer and there has been no talk of an extension.

However, Liverpool would be wise to try and secure their future before too long. When summer arrives, he will only have one year remaining on his contract, which he signed in 2021.
This risks leading to a situation where he could terminate his contract if he becomes dissatisfied or yearns for change, and Liverpool would gain nothing from his exit.
