Marshall County EMA says Friday’s storms downed trees, power lines and utility poles in several areas.
According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, U.S. 431 was closed near Cathedral Caverns Road for a short time, but has since reopened.
Deputy Chief Willie Orr said there have been numerous reports of downed trees and debris in the Honeycomb community. Orr also said Snug Harbor Road and White Elephant Road are impassable due to downed trees.
The sheriff also said a garbage truck was pinned by downed trees on White Elephant Road, but the driver suffered no known injuries.

Orr also said a home under construction on Snug Harbor Road was damaged by fallen trees.
Honeycomb Fire Department, Hebron Fire Department, Grant Fire Department, Grant Police Department, Marshall County EMA and North Marshall Utilities are among those helping repair storm damage in the area.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office says other roads may be impassable and asks the public to avoid those areas if possible.
