In the meantime, Deep research is available for all Gemini accounts. It is supplied by Gemini 2.0 Flash Thinking (experimental), but Google no longer explicitly notes which model is used. On the web, there is a new “deep search” button in the prompt bar, or you can continue to use the model selector. Free users have lower search limits than advanced customers.

Finally, Google announced a new Personalization (experimental) Model available for all users to test. Powered by 2.0 Flash Thinking (experimental), the prompts you enter will be analyzed to see if your research history can “improve the answer”. This is useful for brainstorming and personalized recommendations, with examples of prompts such as:

  • Where do I have to go on vacation this summer?
  • I want to start a YouTube channel but I need content ideas.
  • What would you suggest that I learn as a new hobby / work?

In the future, Google will use more than research, with YouTube and praised photos. This is part of Google’s work to do a personal AI assistant “who does not only answer general questions, but who understands you.”

On this front, the information recorded is now widely deployed, while the advanced capacity which makes it possible to recall the Gemini and to reference past cats during the response to the prompts will soon be available in more than 45 languages.
