Gmail deploys a google agenda card rethought on Android and iOS

Last October, Gmail redesigned its summary cards to make them more visible and more exploitable, with the updated Google Agenda Card. now available.

Before the holiday shopping season, Google has deployed the new purchasing card that can display an image, parcel tracking information with live progression and other order details. There are useful shortcuts to “follow the package” and “display the command”.

Gmail has now deployed the updated event card linked to Google Agenda. It appears when you “receive an email linked to an event, such as a restaurant reservation or an appointment with the dentist”. The day/the date and time are more visible on the first line, followed by the name of the event and an image that accompanies it. You then get the location and section/seat (if applicable).

Old against new

The card will note all the previous events “on your Google agenda”, including their end date. There are also useful buttons to invite other people, display a ticket, get a route, add an event to the calendar, call the place, etc.

This is now deployed for “Google Workspace customers, Google Workspace individuals and users with Google Personal accounts” on Android and iOS.

For the future, expect updated summary cards for invoices and travel. They will appear later in the Gmail search and as part of a new section/pile “soon” above your reception box.
