Google updates Gmail on Android and iOS with improved design and smarter AI features aimed at stimulating the user experience.
The Android tablet and foldable users will notice a more adaptable interface in landscape mode. The update layout allows users to drag the divider between the list of reception boxes and the content of the emails, by adjusting it to their favorite size – or even the collapse for a single view. This feature is gradually taking place both in the workspace and personal account holders.
Meanwhile, Gmail for iOS receives a visual refresh with the design of Materials 3, lining up more closely with the Android and Web versions. The update includes rounded “pill -shaped” buttons along the bottom and a smooth and curved search bar at the top. Google Calendar iOS users also gain the possibility of creating and modifying birthday events, a feature that Android users are already enjoying.
On the AI front, Google directly brings the gemini images generation tool in the Gmail sidebar on Android and iOS for workspace accounts. Just like on the web, users can create personalized images in the application and save them, save them or deposit them transparently in a draft by e-mail.
These updates aim to make Gmail smarter and more intuitive, whatever the device you use.
