Google tasks add incomplete counts to lists on Android, iOS

After adding “completed” dates last month, Google tasks for Android and iOS add unfinished accounts to all lists.

These counts appear in the carousel at the top of the application. The numbers are placed in pills (previously vertical but now horizontal) after the name of the list. They disappear when you consult a list and when it was over.

The Count simply notes how many incomplete tasks are currently in a list. It is faster than browsing all your lists to find what to be done.

It is certainly a catchy addition that you cannot avoid. A parameter to deactivate would be good, Google tasks without parameters in addition to the theme and a link to system notifications. Some people may not like importance or complexity, while I would like the option to make it appear only for tasks with day / date reminders that are late.

These accounts are available for dedicated Google tasks Android And iOS Applications, the latter not yet using the overhaul of the material 3. This does not appear in the version of the Google calendar. Google tested it for about a month before the launch wide in the past few days.
