Google tests the new search bar to access AI mode on Android

While AI fashion tests continue, Google is testing a new way of launching the generative experience from the Android search bar.

Since the launch, you have been able to start a new cat in AI mode from the shortcut under the search bar at the top of the Google application. He lives alongside the buttons (screenshots, translate and homework filters) that launch Google Lens and the search for songs.

Google is now testing a prominent AI fashion circle directly in the research field. Replacement of voice and objective icons on the right, a tap allows you to start immediately to type. The “Ask Ai” field last week won the integration of the Google goal with the possibility of downloading from your gallery or taking a new image.

This design replaces the carousel colored with three shortcuts to start vocal search, launch Google Lens or jump directly in your gallery for visual search.

Currently, we only see this design on a single device. In the United States, free users can now register in AI mode via research laboratories.

On iOS, you can now launch AI mode from the customizable home screen widget. This probably happens to the Android version, which recently picked up two new shortcuts for quick access to news and recorded (in light of the activity replacing it as a tab in the lower bar).
