Google informs iPhone and iPad users of deleting the management of Gemini of the main Google application, exhorting them to go to the Gemini autonomous application. Previously, iOS users could access Gemini via the Google application, with an option to switch between Google Search and Gemini. However, as Google has developed more features for Gemini, like Gemini Live, these were not integrated into the Google application. The emphasis has evolved towards the complete app from Gemini, which was launched in November.
Google now officially removes Gemini from the Google application. Users are informed by e-mail that Gemini is no longer “available” in the Google application and that the complete gemini application is the “best place to use Gemini” in the future. According to a 9to5google report, the email advises users to download the new Gemini application from the App Store to continue accessing all the functionality, including those that were not available on the application Google.
Earlier this month, Google had already deleted the Swither functionality, but users could always access Gemini via the “More” tab of the Google application (V356.0 version) on iOS. A pop-up is now encouraging users to download the complete gemini application from the App Store to continue their experience. This change is part of Google’s efforts to rationalize the experience of Gemini, offering all features and updates in a dedicated application.
