Google Wallet can allow you to add a card by typing it

Google seems to work on a new feature that would allow users to add a credit card to Google Wallet simply by pressing the card on their phone.

The current process of adding a card to Google Wallet generally involves scanning or manual entry of card information, then verification with your bank. It is not a difficult process, but it is the one Google apparently wants to simplify by allowing you to add a card by typing it on your phone, if new discoveries Android authority turn.

The code added to the last update of Google Play services directly explains a process in which you “hold your card” at the back of your phone, using NFC to add it to the wallet.

  • Press to add a card
  • Hold your card near the back of your device
    Until he vibrates
  • Press the card to call

This new code has apparently been found in parallel with the existing “Add payment” screen, deleting any doubt for everything except to add a new payment card to the application. Presumably, users will always have to check with their banking establishment and perform other steps, but that would provide a quick and easy way to put an end to the card information. It is also a fairly familiar process as banking supports, the Capital One application as an example, use NFC to interact with physical cards.

As for what it could be put online, there is no indication of the timing, and there is really no guarantee that it will be shipped.
