According to Bloomberg Mark GurmanApple plans to revise its next iPados 19 “more like macOS”. This comes after many years of complaints concerning the capacity of the operating system of the iPad.
This will accompany other important revisions to the Apple ecosystem, including a massive iPhone overhaul with iOS 19, as well as the first mac design overhaul in half a decade.
Here is how Gurman describes the upgrading of iPados 19:
I am told that this year’s upgrade will focus on productivity, multitasking and application window management – for the device that operates more like a Mac. It was long to come, users of iPad Power Suppliant Apple to make the tablet more powerful.
It has been in preparation for a long time. The iPads have had hardware that has been going beyond its software for at least four years now, and this has certainly been a leading complaint for enthusiasts. Obviously, it’s just “more like macOS”, not directly macos, so I’m sure there will always be a number of shortcomings.
Anyway, it looks like a massive step in the right direction.
