What you need to know
- Popular phone skin maker Dbrand has started selling skins for the Galaxy S25 series.
- With the rendered renders provided, we can see the rear camera layout and flat edges.
- After flattening the edges of the Galaxy S24 Ultra, the Galaxy S25 Ultra finishes the job.
Galaxy Unpacked should be less than a month away, while more details begin to emerge about the Galaxy S25 series. Most recent comes from Dbrandwhich has opened pre-orders for those who want to put a skin on their new phone when it arrives.
This is technically the second round of devices leaked by Dbrand in the past month after the company announced a new rumored case. Nintendo Switch2. However, Dbrand did not present the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus and S25 Ultra from all angles.
Instead, you can get a general idea of what to expect by using the Galaxy S25 Skin Customizer tool. This doesn’t reveal much more than we’ve already seen. But this provides further confirmation that Samsung is ditching the rounded bezel for good.
This is a trend we’ve seen on many of the best Android phones, adopting a true rectangular, or “slab” design. This same trend was rumored to happen on Samsung’s “Ultra” phone after the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s edges were flattened a bit. However, these renders show that all three Galaxy S25s will share the same flattened design.
Besides that, it looks like Samsung won’t be making any other changes, at least to the camera arrays. The Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Plus will be virtually identical, with a trio of vertically oriented cameras flanked by an LED flash. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S25 Ultra once again features a total of five rear cameras, with the flash sandwiched between the telephoto lens and the Laser AF sensor.
There’s a notable omission here, as no Galaxy S25 “Slim” is listed. This is the fourth S25 model scheduled to launch this year, but it’s still unclear whether the S25 Slim will debut at Galaxy Unpacked or arrive at a later date.
It’s still possible that Dbrand is simply using fictional renders based on previous device leaks. However, we’re less inclined to believe this given the variety of leaks we’ve already seen.
That being said, we also don’t expect this to be the last we see or hear of the Galaxy S25 lineup. There’s still plenty of time until Galaxy Unpacked, so we’ll likely learn a lot more about Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphones.
