How Lenovo is trying to make AI PCs relevant for CIOs – Computerworld

While PC suppliers continue to launch several variations in IA PC, the promises of Microsoft Copilot and Copilot + PC have shown little relevance for companies, which have not yet seen enough use to justify the purchase. However, Lenovo tries to change this with his own AI assistant, AI now.

On the basis of Meta’s Llama 3.0, Lenovo AI is now a model of small language which focuses on a limited number of tasks such as the organization of documents and the management of devices, but locally, so that users do not have to worry about exposing their data to the outside world, and tasks such as summary of documents can be performed even by plane.

The inspiration for AI now comes from the limited success of Copilot as an assistant PC. “I think that when Copilot launched in June of last year, there was one more promise, and they had to withdraw. I think it will take a while to see us a large -scale deployment, especially for some of the features such as recall, what they [Microsoft] Showed, then returned, ”said Tom Butler, vice-president of the global commercial portfolio and product management in Lenovo.
