How to improve the IOS 18 Photos Application Experience

Summary

  • The application of renovated photos iOS 18 is chaotic and disorganized, causing headaches for users.
  • Apple has changed the sorting of the photos of “Date captured” on “added date” without warning, causing confusion.
  • To solve this problem, modify the photo command by “recently added” by following the simple stages of the application.

I’m still late on software updates. I know that, as a technological journalist, it is not a great look. But my delay is not without reason; I like everyone to go through excitement – and pain – from Operating system updatesSo I know where I start before I got stuck with them myself. Part of the reason for which I retained iOS 18 was the Whistling I saw the rest of the internet throw when they opened the application of new and “improved” photos of Apple.

Looking at my friends’s shoulders was easy to be dismayed. The overhaul seemed that Apple’s developers looked at the code for too long and forgot what their mission really was: simplicity.

The new photos by default are really anything but. I waited until the bypass solutions are starting to surface before you finally download and install iOS 18 – About six months later. Of course, part of this was to procrastinate myself, but something that I did not postpone was right in the photos and to change a parameter before having to suffer from the new arrangement. I will show you how I did it below.

What is iOS 18 in the photos?

If it was not broken, Apple should not have “corrected”

Apple / Pocket-Lint

The first thing you have probably noticed was chaos. Apple put everything on a single scrolling page, when it was more a “tab” experience. The technology giant also added more “personalization” – not that I wanted it or I needed for the Literal Photos application. Although you can eliminate or reorganize certain sections, sometimes less it is better in the first place. Although there are many of these sections, the greatest nuisance wondered where some of my photos even went.

This is because Apple started sorting them differently without giving anyone a warning. In iOS 17 and Prior, the application sorted the images by “captured date” instead of “added date”. This meant that all your photos appear chronologically in your camera bread, it doesn’t matter when you really added them to your library. It makes the backup of photos of friends a nightmare. And for someone like me, with a ton of old disposable cameras that encourage my iPhone to think that they were taken in 2004, it makes me absolutely crazy. Where did they go? Oh, there – right next to a selfie of me with hugs and an infinite chevron scarf in college.

It just doesn’t make sense. So here is the easy thing I did to bring the application back to the right days-which was certainly not the chevron-infinity-scarf era.
