Apple allows you to lock your notes using your iPhone password or a separate password, ensuring that your private information remains protected on all your Apple devices, including iOS and macOS.

How to lock notes on macOS
Configure a password
Open it Notes Application on your Mac.
Go to notes, then click Parameters in the menu bar.
Below, click Define the password. You can either use your Mac connection password or create a personalized password for locked notes.

Lock a note
Once you have created a password, you can lock your notes.
Open the Notes app and select the note you want to lock.
Click on Locking button In the toolbar, so choose Locking note.
If you have not yet defined a password, you will be invited to create one.
If you have already seized the password during this session of notes, you will no longer need to grasp it.

How to lock notes on iOS
From iOS 16, there are two ways to lock your notes. You can either use your iPhone access code to lock them, or configure a single and unique password only for notes.

Open it Notes Apply and select the note you want to lock.
Press the More button (three points), then choose Lockdown.
Follow the prompts to create a new password (you can also define an index for recovery).
