At some point later tonight, somewhere between 6:55 and 7:25 p.m., a large crowd of Washington Capitals fans will click on their televisions and switch the channel to Monumental Sports Network (formerly NBC Sports Washington ), and are very confused as to why the Caps game hasn’t started yet.
Friends, tonight’s season opener between the Washington Capitals and Pittsburgh Penguins is on national television. There will be no Joe B or Locker on the telecast (much to my despair).
