Tl; DR
- Google Search has a new Easter egg on the theme of Pokémon.
- You can catch the original 151 Pokémon looking for their names.
- Each Pokémon that you catch will bring you closer to winning master bullets that can be used to catch legendary or legendary Pokémon.
It is not uncommon for Google occasionally a little pleasure in the research experience. For example, when the Wicked film was released, the company had an Easter egg where the search results floated up like bubbles rising from a cauldron. Google now has a new Easter egg for all aspirant Pokémon Masters.
If you recently googled a Pokémon on your phone, you may have noticed a fairly recognizable sphere that drags near the lower corner of your screen. This sphere is a pok ball, and it is one of Google’s latest Easter eggs. The original 151 Pokémon hide on Google Search and you can catch them (or search) all.
The way it works is that you enter the name of a Pokémon in the search field and press ENTER. You should see a poke ball in the lower right corner. Press the Poké ball and the Pokémon will jump on the screen side so you can catch it. After being caught, you can consult each creature recorded in your collection. While you continue to catch new Pokémon, you will win master balls that can be used to catch legendary and mythical Pokémon.
This Easter egg is only available on mobile. Keep in mind that you will want to be connected to your Google account because it is necessary to save your progress.
