SONE qualified investors will soon have the possibility of buying XRP receipts through the DEPOSITY Corporation (DRC) and digital wealth partners (DWP).
These deposit receipts allow investors a way to obtain regulated exposure to XRP without buying the cryptocurrency directly from a scholarship. Instead, they can buy XRP DRS, which represent the property of Real XRP held at a regulated goalkeeper.
Eleanor Terrett also confirmed it on X: “$ XRP Depository Receipts will soon be available for purchase by accredited investors via @RECEIPTSDEPO and @DWP_ADVISORS”, she tweeted.
The deposit receipts will be held by Anchorage, a bank with a federal charter regulated by the American office of the Currency Controller (OCS).
Each XRP DR works in a similar way to American deposit receipts (ADR), where a foreign company can sell shares of its business without the need to negotiate foreign scholarships.
Receipt Depositary Corp (DRC), a start-up founded by former Citigroup leaders, directs this effort to introduce titles supported by XRP to institutional investors via market infrastructure regulated by the United States.
Unlike ETFs and XRP trustees, which are still awaiting the approval of the SEC, the DR XRP have already been established in a regulated framework. This makes them easily accessible to all qualified investors.
The XRP DR program is eligible for DTC, which means that it is mainly integrated into institutional trading platforms with electronic regulations. This allows banks and brokers to manage XRP investments like any other security.
It also allows convertibility in nature, so that investors can create and exchange DRs for real XRP where regulations allow. Using the existing market infrastructure, XRP DRS makes cryptographic investments as simple as commercial actions.
In addition, deposit receipts have been used for a long time to help investors access assets that are generally not available in American markets. Now the same system is applied to cryptocurrencies, which makes XRP more accessible to institutional investors.
