Apple is currently launching its third beta for iOS 18.3, iPadOS 18.3 and macOS Sequoia 15.3. With iOS 18.3 Beta 3, Apple is making some changes to Apple Intelligence, including disabling notification summaries for news and entertainment apps. This appears to be a temporary measure as Apple seeks to correct its problems. notoriously bad summaries. Notification summaries should be reinstated with future iOS updates.
Users can also turn off notification summaries directly from the lock screen for each app. Apple is also changing notification summaries, which now appear in italics so they can be clearly distinguished from regular notifications.

Along with the changes to notification summaries, Apple is making bug fixes and some minor changes to the camera control button, messages, and PDF editing. iPhone 16 models with the camera control button now have a toggle renamed “Lock Focus and Exposure,” replacing the AR/AF Lock toggle. Messages get a new Genmoji option from the “+” button.
