iOS 18.4 Beta is soon waiting: Siri smarter, notifications led by AI and more to tilt


Apple, based in California, will prepare for the publication of the first beta version of iOS 18.4, which should introduce important updates to Siri in parallel with new improvements to Apple Intelligence.

According to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, an Apple expert, the beta version should be made available to developers between the first row week and the start of the following week.

Historically, Apple varied the dates of release of its updates of the beginning of the year, with iOS 17.4 Beta 1 launched on January 25 of last year, while iOS 16.4 Beta 1 arrived later on February 16 . This time, iOS 18.4 should provide long-awaited progress in Siri, especially for devices compatible with Apple Intelligence.

According to Gurman, these improvements could include understanding of the personal context, awareness of the screen and greater control over applications.

In addition, the update should introduce priority notifications, a functionality taking advantage of AI to automatically highlight key notifications. Apple also confirmed that iOS 18.4 will mark the first expansion of Apple’s intelligence to a wider range of languages, notably Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish and Vietnamese.

In addition, users can probably expect a new selection of Emoji, after their unveiling by the Unicode consortium. Among the new additions could be the fingerprint, a face with bags under the eyes, a harp, a root vegetable, a leave without leaves, a splash and a shovel.

Although an official release date has not yet been confirmed, the excitement increases for the next Apple software update, promising improvements fueled by AI and wider linguistic support to raise the experience user.

Meanwhile, Gurman also suggested that Apple is likely to reveal the iPhone SE 4 via a press release rather than a dedicated event. In addition, the handset should be sold later this month.
